Once in a while the dream
comes true,
And the whole pattern of life is
altered,
Once in a while the Moon turns
Blue.“

“Life's single lesson: that there is more accident to it than a man can ever admit to in a lifetime and stay sane.“
--Fausto Magistral, in Thomas Pynchon's V.
“I wish you luck, because what lies ahead is no picnic for the prepared and unprepared alike, and you'll need luck. Still, I believe you'll manage.“

Book #1: Spent the first two weeks of 2021 in my parents‘ basement in quarantine. This one was a Christmas gift from my mom!
One of my new favourite genres. The tagged@book looks interesting!

I loved everything about this book: the learning how to play poker, the psychology of how people make decisions, the analogy of poker and life, traveling and her own emotional unearthing of her triggers of making questionable decisions. I‘ll be thinking about this book for a long time- it was so, so good.
