Honestly, I don't think I've ever met a "normal" person. However, to me, normal is so boring, I might have simply forgotten them. If I remember you, then you're not normal, you are unique.

This is horrifying. I hope nobody here will lose their ebooks as a result of this.

MoniqueReads305 This is why I refuse to purchase ebooks at full price. You don't own them, you purchase a right to use them. Basically you are renting them. 5y
callielafleur @MoniqueReads305 I don't do many ebooks, but they're all through B&N. Now I'm curious what would happen to them if/when B&N goes under... 5y
melissanorr I tell people the same thing all the time @MoniqueReads305 and they usually get a blank look on their face! I really want all the ebooks in Amazon, Apple, etc to have a "license" button rather than a "buy" button so it is clear to people that this could happen. 5y
mrp27 Precisely why I'm not a huge fan of ereaders. I have a Nook and have been assured by B&N that I "own" them but I don't buy it. Nook can go out at anytime and then I loose all my books. Thankfully most are freebies or were purchased for $1.99, $2.99. I'm of the mind that if B&N were to go under, so would my books. 5y
MoniqueReads305 @melissanorr @callielafleur Most of my ebooks are through BN because I preferred Nook or Kindle... But one of my fears with BN is it going under. I could only hope that if that happens they sell it to Kobo. 5y
