Absolutely loved this collection of short stories that's accompanied by examinations of the writing by well-known YA authors. A unique and inventive way to talk about writing as a craft (and there wasn't one bad short story in the bunch!). Will definitely be recommending! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #arc

For readers & writers: 13 short stories by underrepresented voices. This book has an interesting format - each tale is followed by a short discussion focusing on an element of writing craft that was well developed in the proceeding story.
The stories themselves represent a gamut of genres. One of the things I found most interesting about this book was the way the authors‘ diverse backgrounds shaped the worlds they created. Good but not great.
