This is a powerful memoir, but I think it detracted from the story that it‘s not told in a chronological way. Definitely a tragic and interesting life but only ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in my opinion.

I VERY rarely bail on books, but I just didn‘t get this at all. After like 40 pages, I realized I wasn‘t going to be able to continue. Not sure if it‘s just my brain, but I couldn‘t make sense of it. #dnf

I've been getting more into cozy mysteries lately, but this one just didn't work in a lot of ways for me. The plot seemed really convoluted (especially towards the end), and although I loved the main character, a lot of the aspects of her personality felt repetitive. Sad that this one wasn't a hit for me, but even the mystery taking place on a cruise in Paris wasn't enough to overcome the flaws in the storytelling. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

New bookstore opened today in my town. Cannot tell you how excited I am to spend all my money there! ☺️

Loved the unique storytelling: a mystery told in reverse. Plenty of twists (especially the last one) kept me glued to every page. Only downside was every character was pretty unlikable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Was all over the place in terms of subject matter this month, but all of these reads kept me intrigued!

I liked the writing style and characters, but the subject matter wasn‘t totally my thing. Excited about the tv adaptation though. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It seems like everyone raves about this author, but I found this one to be pretty repetitive and kinda boring. There were also too many chick lit tropes, but maybe it‘s just me. 🤷🏽‍♀️
