The Sign of The Blood
The Sign of The Blood | Laurence O'Bryan
3 posts | 1 read | 1 to read
"Exciting and original," SJA Turney, author of Caligula. It is 306A.D., long before Constantine the Great converted to Christianity and became the first Christian emperor. A gripping historical novel about Constantine's bloody rise to power and the woman who helped him.

Pickpick

When this became available to ReadNow on #NetGalley I picked it up as I loved his Puzzle series, not realising it was the 3rd in a trilogy. Despite this I quickly got into this & and read in a day. This tells the story of Emperor Constantine & his moving Rome to New Rome (Constantinople) and betrayal by those closest to him. This was a quick paced historical read & had some strong women in the plot line. Loved it, now to read the other two.

Andrew65 This led me to want to find out more about Constantine, which is what all historical fiction books should do. However don‘t pick this up thinking it is a high brow historical fiction read but a good and engaging story which moved along well and provided good entertainment for a day. 4y

Started reading book 3 of The Dangerous Emperor Series by Laurence O‘Bryan. It‘s not on the database so have tagged it with the first book in the series. These tell the story of the Emperor Constantine in the fourth Century AD and the early days of the Christian Church. Think this is the last book in the series. #NetGalley #TheCursedCity This is a Read Now book on Net Galley if anyone is interested.
Book 1 for #Reviewathon

sprainedbrain Look at you go! I‘m finishing two non-NG books I started in July, and then I‘m diving in to my list! 4y
