4/5⭐ Not good for practical advice, but great for historical info or astrological associations, esp. for writers. The modern annotations don't do a complete job of updating Culpeper's info.
I adored Culpeper's personality, between his insistence that the rich look out for the poor & his scathing rants about such things as common herbal naming conventions. Never thought an herbal dictionary would be so entertaining.
Also a very pretty edition.
