While this #audiobook has many of the elements that I enjoy- dual timelines, a missing person, secrets, a crumbling countryside manor & a mysterious death- the pacing & characters slowed this one down. Though we are told everyone‘s drawn to Andy, I just didn‘t see her appeal. The plot holds some surprises but they unfold a bit disappointingly… I never found myself eager to go back to this one & a few times the narrator‘s voice lulled me to sleep!

I was really excited to read this, my husband bought it for me during my birthday trip, and it looked good. I was sorely disappointed. I just couldn't get into it. The characters weren't likable and it didn't flow. This is supposed to be a mystery surrounding teenagers and an abandoned mansion. Then the author tries a mix up with them as adults and then flashed back to when they were younger.

I'm sad we spent $26 on this book.

For the first half of this book, I wasn‘t sure if I‘d end up even finishing it. Thankfully I kept going and ended up enjoying it but not enough to give it a like. The story line seemed promising but the writing style made it confusing at times.

When Andy finds out that her friend Peter is missing, she begins to recall the one summer her and 4 friends spent time at a deserted manor. Mysteries of the present and past that still remain unsolved.
