Pretty cool. It helped that I‘ve visited Norway in the winter so I could picture some of the scenes fairly well. Helps that Nesbo is quite good at describing the scenery and weather.
Thank you so much @Charityann. The Kingdom has been on my TBR for awhile and I'm so looking forward to reading it 🤓 And my favorite Dove chocolates will pair perfectly 😉
Thank you again!

First read of the year is complete- although technically I started this in 2020 😜
This is a standalone novel that is very different from the Harry Hole series. I LOVED it. A slow burn but very immersive. I loved the setting, the depth of the characters, and the complex relationship between Roy and Carl. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
One of my most anticipated reads for 2020. Gonna try to squeeze one more in before the end of the year!
I enjoyed this one but writing a review is so challenging. It‘s one of those books when saying anything at all about the story might lead to a spoiler—in plot, tone, theme, you name it. So, what to say? As you might expect from Nesbø it‘s atmospheric, dark, twisty, full of nuance and, as is often the case in the best sorts of thrillers/mysteries, quite thought-provoking. A great read as winter descends & you want to be inside with a good book.
The sun isn‘t quite up, the house is quiet and the kids are still asleep which means it‘s the perfect time to start a new book! 📖☕️ 🌅
