Kids getting ready for Halloween will love this laugh-out-loud picture book that finally sets the record straight about monsters! Monsters! They're so much more than just that scary thing under your bed. Join Professors Batula McFang, Blobbins, and Howlsworth, and their trusty lab assistant--a zombie named Tina--as they reveal eerie and frankly ridiculous monster facts, never uttered outside a crypt! For example: Monsters love competitive board-game nights! Favorite monster foods include clam pudding with fish heads and pickled ant ice cream! In addition to cauldrons and spider gardens, monster homes often include homemade collages! Werewolves hate the sound of vacuum cleaners! Monsters aren't all scary! Try being nice to one for a change! Offer them a compliment! Full of eye-popping illustrations and a story with nonstop sidesplitting laughs, plus a removable Professor of Monstrology diploma at the end of the book, Monsters 101 will have children--and adults--eager to enroll, time and time again!

This was a funny “non-fiction” guide to monsters. A cute kids book that covers monster self-care, diet, stereotypes, etc. Fun for #screamathon and #scarathlon!

booksbrewsandbooze Aw I love it! 3y

Glad to have a stack of Halloween library picture books in the backseat as we wait in line for Covid testing. Maya is asymptomatic, but had direct exposures both in school and in our neighborhood this week. We‘re doing our duty and getting a test even though we are vaxxed and asymptomatic. Wish others around us would have the same consideration, instead of letting their kid play outside around others when they are known to be Covid +. 🤬😬

Magpiegem Keeping my fingers crossed for you! How incredibly selfish some people can be! Luckily a lot more a careful and considerate like you. You‘ve just inspired me to go to the library tomorrow on a halloween book hunt! Xxx 3y
brittanyreads Thanks for doing the right thing! As a mom of a toddler one of my biggest pet peeves are parents allowing sick children out around others. Like why? Just don't. Please. I hope your tests are negative and you get to read lots of fun spooky books while waiting! 🎃 3y
alisiakae @BrittanyReads yes! This has long been my pet peeve, especially in the Elem years. It‘s just now exacerbated by Covid. Never mind that Maya has a very rigorous course load this year in 8th w/ 3 HS level classes, so we try to avoid any unnecessary risks because having to quarantine for 10 days from school if positive would really be incredibly anxiety inducing for her. 3y

alisiakae @Magpiegem thank you! 3y
brittanyreads Smart girl! I'm sure you're so proud! ☺️ Here's to a smooth school year for both of you with no quarantine distractions. 8th grade is tough enough! 3y
TEArificbooks I am homeschooling now because of those reasons. I used to be a teacher and every year we would have parent sending their kids sick to school. Knowing they had fevers and highly contagious diseases. And that was before covid. A few teacher friends quit this year because parents are sending their kids with positive covid tests with symptoms to school! Parents say well I have to work. Well the teacher has to not die. 3y
ravenlee @mdm139 my sister‘s kids have both been home for the last two weeks because they‘ve been sick, but their school won‘t notify parents when one of the kids has COVID! So they had to test the kids, tests were negative but nothing else makes sense…so my sister kept them home. I just don‘t understand. I homeschool my daughter anyway, but it‘s just frightening right now! 3y
ravenlee I hope Maya‘s ok, and good luck for her busy school year! 🤞🏻 3y
alisiakae @ravenlee Thanks! She feels fine and ? ? will be negative. She‘s currently on the #screamathon train and took Horrorstör off my bookshelf today, she likes Grady Hendrix. I have to keep reminding myself I was reading the same type of adult books at her age and turned out mostly fine ? 3y
