Single and proud of it! Oh, oops... As a Certified Professional Organizer, everything in Paige Parker's world is as it should be. Perfect apartment, perfect office, perfect life. And now, the perfect vacation planned to honor Singles Day. After all, what's better than celebrating her pride in being single? Because who needs a man anyway? They have zero taste in quality television, leave the toilet seat up, and sleep with your best friend. No thanks. Her life is fine just the way it is. As the owner of a now-dormant bed & breakfast, Lucas Croft's life is simple and quiet. It's only him and his five-year-old daughter, which is just the way he likes it. Because who needs a woman anyway? They nag you to clean up your stuff, want the toilet seat put down, and expect the dishes to be done the same day the meal is cooked. No thanks. His life is fine just the way it is. But when Paige books a room that Lucas' well-intentioned sister listed without his knowledge, their two worlds collide. If they can survive the week together, they just might discover exactly what they've both been missing. "Adorable, romantic, funny, and sexy!"—Kirkus Reviews for Black Tie Optional

I had a hard time connecting with these characters.

Bailedbailed

I‘m choosy about what I pick up (don‘t like bailing), but I cant continue. Managed just under halfway in this small book. How can two strangers -who state they don‘t need anybody- be so horny towards each other?? Not sure if it‘s because I‘m Demi or the plot (is cute), but no. Also not a fan of where this feels to be going; both their lives are missing, but will get fixed when they do hookup since what they‘re missing is what the other has.

Two broken people find each other attractive and fall in love in a storm while stuck in proximity to each other, after years of singleness. Rom com fluff but a good palette cleanser in the middle of a tough and emotional week. Descriptive attractiveness but closed door romance.

Pickpick

Fun and quick read. Super cutesy and fluffy. Cheesy dialogue and nothing crazy. Pretty typical romance novel.

Sweet, fluffy holiday romance with a widowed hero with a b&b he‘s not running and the professional organiser who visits for an out of season holiday. Nothing revelatory or surprising, but a nice fun weekend read.

This romance was sweet and fun. She has to take a break from her uptight normal self, so she goes to a cozy b&b for Singles Day (celebrated instead of Valentine's). Of course, when she gets there, there's a big storm, which shuts down any outdoor plans. The b&b owner is cranky and distant, but of course there's more to him than meets the eye. Fluffy with enough substance to really keep me engaged. ARC received from Edelweiss for review

Just not feeling this. Find myself annoyed with both mc‘s and the tone. DNF @ 25% #JoyousJanuary #Readathon
