The Power and the Glory | Graham Greene

Pickpick

This book from the #1001 list follows a “whisky priest“ in Mexico as he runs from persecution. The story is both sad and moving, as the priest struggles with his own conscience and reflects upon his religion and faith.

Finished my 3rd book for #JoyousJanuary and it's also my #BookSpin book for this month!

What a special person Betty White was… I loved this short little book, narrated by Betty herself. It‘s about life, Hollywood, writing and of course, animals. Betty, you are sorely missed.

My third finish for #joyousjanuary

Another very good read in the Railway Detective Series. An intriguing case for Insoector Colbeck and Leeming to get involved with, this time involving some rivalries between Oxford and Cambridge. Was the victim killed so that Oxford could win the annual Boat Race?

8th book finished for #JoyousJanuary 19th book for #JumpStart2022

kspenmoll I just got the first in this series from my son for Christmas. Not read it yet. 4h

We got quite the snow here for the south so I'll be hunkered down inside reading this book, which I'm already about 100 pages into. Hope everyone has a good weekend. #JoyousJanuary @Andrew65

#JoyousJanuary Day 7 - I started several new books yesterday, most of which I‘m really enjoying even though I don‘t seem to have the attention span to sit with one thing and finish it through right now. @Andrew65

Andrew65 Plenty of options this weekend. 5h
