Mehso-so

3 🌟 Stella is not excited about her baby brother. Something said by her father before her brother arrived started her thinking that her baby brother was actually a duck. But like a good scientist, she makes a hypothesis and starts to investigate. What I like about this book is the creative way it shows children misunderstanding something. But once it starts that, it doesn‘t stop. So no real conclusion.

Pickpick

This was hilarious - reluctant big sister used SCIENCE to determine if her baby brother was in fact... a duck...

AkashaVampie haha!!! 3y
AkashaVampie It almost sounds like something Sid The Science Kid would do. 3y
rockpools This sounds so much fun! Ducks and babies are my niece‘s two favourite things - I think she‘d find a duck more acceptable as a sibling though. 3y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @rockpools, this may be her perfect book 📖 she definitely comes around to the idea of having a duck for a brother 🤣 3y

Reading a cute picture to recover from the experience of DOCTOR using her “I‘m not mad I‘m just disappointed” voice on me when I asked her to sign in (part of the libraries covid safe plan) and she said oH aRE wE StILL doiNg thaT iT seeMs LiKe overKILL 🙄 like damn lady, you got me - you‘ve uncovered my evil one woman plan of making everyone sign in if they want to come in... I‘m not following state government guidelines or anything 🙄😩

Smrloomis 😡 that sounds frustrating ☹️ 3y

julesG I'm sure you felt better after reading the book. 3y
Bookwormjillk What‘s wrong with some people, really? I hope you enjoy the book. 3y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @Bookwormjillk, it never ends well when someone opens with “I‘m a ”. The picture book was the perfect antidote. That and the fact she drove to the wrong library for her book. I‘m sure she enjoyed signing in at another location 🤣 3y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @Smrloomis, it is - I don‘t think people realise the toll of their comments - happily - from next week library staff won‘t be required to be at the sign in station at all times. The majority of people are great but some are just so nasty 😫 3y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @julesG, I did 🥰 picture books are so good! 3y
