Again, much as I love the Netflix series, the book is oh so much better. Whispering Rock mostly focuses on the love story between Mike & Brie. Mike also has to investigate a crime in the small town area that touches too close to the crime against Brie. Babies are born, teens grow up….all the things we like to see. I love how Carr gives an intimacy to her characters.

I like the new characters that were introduced and new storylines for characters that appeared briefly in other books. Looking forward to Paul and Vanessa‘s story continuing! A plus for me was getting a little confirmation about something I have suspected since the first book. Waiting to see how that eventually plays out.

I feel this book was longer than the other two. I started to lose interest in the middle of the book. I finished the book though. It failed to keep me hook, as the other two books I read in this series. 2/5 ⭐

Loving this series! Tommy was my favorite new character. I also enjoyed Brie and Mikes story. Can‘t wait for the next book.

The first book was meh. The second book was better. This book made me cry my eyes out through most of it and I loved it. If recommending to a friend I‘d probably suggest it as a stand alone, but onwards through the series I go.
