Took about 100 pages to get into, but it was so worth it in the end. The narrative jumps around between POVs/timelines, mirroring the fractured nature of Stella's mind and memories, leaving behind an eerie, unsettling mystery. Answers are always just out of reach for the reader, as they are for Stella herself.

"Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you" meets "we are the granddaughters of the witches they could not burn"

Hoping this month's #BookSpin selection picks up a bit. It's good, but not "oh my gosh, gotta keep reading!" good. I'm about 50 pages in, gonna give it to 100 to see if it grabs me. (While enjoying the pile of snuggles from a sleeping little and Mr Otis)
