Too long & chapter structure was odd. Trying to fit a multi-year, multi-industry set of stories into chapters nominally about the calendar months of 1974 was awkward. Despite all that, I LIKED it.
Brownstein tells how the 1960's crashed into the 1970's in TV, movies, music and politics, and changed the culture of the country. Lots of one-off stories, many of them really good.

With the audiobook I could listen along while doing other stuff, get the full effect, and stop and really listen to the good stuff - a lot of the stories were quite interesting.
