pickJohn Connolly is best when he has a subject to research in preparation for a novel. The Nameless Ones clearly shows this talent. Framed around Serbian atrocities and war criminals, and featuring Louis and Angel, the novel explores themes of vengeance and retribution. Jennifer Parker and an otherworldly creature (Zorya) round out the cast of characters who give us a wonderful entry the Parker series. Thank you Mr. Connolly!

pickCharlie is in this for literally one chapter and the rest is given over to Louis and Angel. They are gunning for some Serbian war criminals. There are some continuing supernatural bits, I can‘t wait for the author to start bringing them all together.
Still a brilliant series at number 19 👍🏻
