This is a great read of how a young girl learns to live without her mother.

Bailed on this one. The writing was good, but it just wasn‘t drawing me in. I think the biggest problem, for me, was that the first person narrator was meant to be 9 years old but she read so much older that it kept jolting me out of the story.

This book made me cry & earned a spot into my top 10 ❤️

Ok, I know you all are finishing books in two days all the time, but I don‘t. I‘m a slow reader and a busy mom, I spend too much time on the internet to read books fast. But this book - I couldn‘t put it down. I liked it, a lot. The characters, the pain, the loss and uncertainty, it drew me in and I had to know how it turned out.

My November is looking amazing! My spin is A Million Things and it‘s sucked me in this morning. My double spin is The Lincoln Highway which I won‘t let myself purchase until I finish this first one. It‘s coffee and books for me this month!

This was an emotional read featuring a wonderful character in the form of a 10-year -old girl named Rae. I really enjoyed it.

Oh sweet Rae and Lettie! What a wonderful, gut wrenching, heartbreaking, but sweet story. I didn‘t realize it was YA, but when you have a 10 year old narrator I guess that speaks for itself. I can‘t imagine how strong Rae was at only 10 and I love the friendship she built with Lettie. I will carry these characters for awhile. (Spoiler alert-another review says the dog dies, he doesn‘t!!) Book #52 in 2021
