Leah Nazir is an Insighter. Reincarnation is her business. So is revisiting a client's ever-receding lives to right old wrongs. Lately she's been revisiting the rubble of her own past, and what she's seen isn't pretty. Leah's been murdered. A lot. If left to that bitch destiny, it'll happen again. That's why Archer Drake has been hired to keep an eye on her and find out who's been following Leah through time and why that person wants her dead. Over and over again.

First book in a new series by MaryJanice Davidson. Leah is an Insighter, a person who can see/read peoples past lives.
Awesome book, intriguing concept. Can't wait for the next one.

I think I'm officially done with MJD after this one. I hung on through the Betsy books because I liked the characters but this was a lot of filler with very little real story.

KarmonR I have mixed feelings about her. She starts strong but has a hard time keeping up the momentum. 8y
Bostonmomx2 Haha well you know my feelings about her. 😒 7y

An urban fantasy romance where the heroine, Leah, can see people's "past lives." The ins and outs of being an "Insighter" were fascinating and I could have read about Leah's clients and cases for hours.

However, a weak climax and the hero's general annoying dialogue and behavior really held the book back. I would have preferred the urban fantasy mystery without the romance element.

⭐️⭐️? (2.5 stars)
