Megan continues to impress me with her story collections! She deftly explores themes of environmentalism, race, & gender. She chooses strong female MCs that I connect with.

The novella Indigo Run is a fascinating a look at class dynamics on a plantation in early 20th c SC. She writes about token environmentalism in a story about invasive lion fish. In Peaches 1979, she writes with wry humor about a family that can‘t get along on a failing farm.

Usually when I go to a bookstore, I get one from my TBR and one that just sounds good. The tagged short story collection has been on my TBR awhile, and Good Eggs (tagged below) just sounded good. Their collection is really well curated, so I think I‘ll love both!
