After all these years this excellent series has come to an end. It feels sad. I would have enjoyed reading more books in the series. Still, despite some fears for the future and some introspection, Nicholas is in a good place at the end. I‘m wondering what would have happened to him and his family (young newlywed son, with a baby) during the revolution. Many titles in this series is available in English (excellent translation).

It feels sad to be reading the very last book in this series. I know it will be a while until I read a book in French again. After this I‘ll be reading German books (as well as, naturally, books in Swedish and English). So far this book is very exciting, more action than in a long time.
