Poor Muna. Though the way the book wrapped up the tales of Brittany-Rae and Kemi seemed abrupt, it didn‘t detract from their storylines. Loved how each story was unique and distinctive, highlighting the differences in their experiences, class, culture, expectations, relationships, and interactions with locals during their time in Sweden. Loved that they met for a moment, but didn‘t instantly bond. Each tale was strong and blended well together.
I liked the writing style, the interweaving of the three black women, and the character development, but not the ending. I don't expect books to be tied up into nice bows where everyone lives happily ever after, but this one felt abrupt or something that left me feeling not quite satisfied.
This little elf was wrapping until midnight so I chose to go to bed and to open my #jolabokaflod this morning. @Aims42 You outdid yourself! What a marvelous treat. đ @MaleficentBookDragon
