If you are a reader of holiday stories, this one will not disappoint. It is just like a Hallmark movie in book form. It is full of holiday cheer, warmth, and no real real challenges to worry about.

If you are not a fan of holidays reads, you should likely skip this one. If you are looking for something light and feel good that you can curl up with next to the fire, this one is for you!

Perfectly acceptable Christmas read with a nice, cozy ending. If you like the Peachtree Bluff series, you‘ll like this Christmas story about those characters. They sure have a phenomenal amount of luck though. #audiowalk

I got out for a walk at lunch. Good thing I did because it started raining when I got into the car at 1:00pm; it‘s now 9:00pm, and it stopped an hour or so ago. I‘m now off of work until January 10. Yay! #audiowalk

I don‘t know why I continue to read this series because I‘m always irritated by someone, usually the mother, Ainsley, who, although she is younger than me, I find to be hopelessly old-fashioned. The book began with no one in the town willing to tell the new coffee shop owner that he was delivering the wrong orders all over town because they didn‘t want to hurt his feelings. Instead they were walking around trying to exchange orders.🙄 #audiowalk

tpixie I find this series very frustrating. The characters choices bother me. Why do I have the goal of finishing the series? Because in April I‘m going to Beaufort North Carolina, which is the town that Peachtree Bluff is based on. I‘m beginning to figure out this was a stupid goal but I‘m too stubborn to stop!! Lol 😂 3y

KathyWheeler @tpixie I was bothered by the characters‘s choices too — they often seemed childish— but I finished the series. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 3y

tpixie @KathyWheeler we must be Completists!! ( I do like #2 & 3 better than #1 - there was too much fat shaming in the first one) Maybe it‘s because the characters are more developed now; and I‘m excepting them for the way they are, not how I wanted to be. (edited) 3y

KathyWheeler @tpixie That‘s exactly how I felt about the first one. As a not small woman, it upset me. There was also a scene where Caroline talked about not wanting to wear a pair of shoes again because they‘d been contaminated because she wore them into a hospital. I rolled my eyes. I liked 2 & 3 much better. They began to address actual problems in those books. 3y

The quaintness of small towns is always a bonus. I loved the idea of the drive-in movie but with boats – a “boat-in”.

This book is loaded with Southern charm and the importance of family and second chances. Overall, it is a feel-good cozy read. But I highly recommend you read the other books in this series so you can keep up with all the characters and have the backstories on them.
