The first quote doesn't make any sense at all until you meet Frenchie. Leslie Connor is a master of MG fiction and in this story she encapsulates the culture of invisibility/disibility. The second quote is an expression of raw grief at its earliest stage. I have this book 5⭐️ #neurodiversity

I have been a little remiss - already 4 books behind schedule and feeling a little unmotivated.

I can‘t imagine anyone not completely loving this wonderful book of two unlikely friends. Aurora, an outspoken delightful girl and her non verbal friend Frenchie and their lives together until Frenchie goes missing one day. What a wonderful way to give voice to neurodiversity in a positive light.

A powerful, heartwarming story about two friends, Frenchie who is autistic & nonverbal & Aurora who is talkative, loud, & impulsive, who share a love of the outdoors & the natural world. They do everything together until one day Frenchie, after being dropped off at school, goes missing. Aurora knows her friend better than anyone and may just be the key to finding him and getting him home safely. Engaging characters & a good story. On sale 2/15/22
