Read this before a salon appointment. I didn‘t get much out of it, but there were interesting observations about reading and writing. I may try it again in the future.

After My Brilliant Friend, I‘ve been so interested in the author who pens under this name. As I prepare to write my dissertation, I am more & more interested in books that discuss reading & writing, and thought this short series of essays would be interesting. Some insightful tidbits and lines as with most books of this style, but as far as these go, I‘m always more interested in the life & decisions the author makes than improving my writing.
#BookMoods Day 9: This is definitely a #ByYourFavoriteAuthor title - I will read anything Elena Ferrante writes. Taken at the Dubai airport a few days ago on our way to Naples. I am now done with my research meetings in Bari and now back in Napoli this morning for some Elena Ferrante fix. 🌸🌸🌸
So thrilled to be in Naples, the birthplace of Lenu and Lila of the Neapolitan Quartet. Gnocchi, seafood vongole, and limoncello for our first meal when we arrived yesterday.
These essays are a little more erudite than I was hoping for but I love the insight into what writing and being a writer means to her (she compares her process with Woolf, Stein, Dickinson, Dante, etc),
Excellent volume of contemplative essays
I'm looking forward to immersing myself in these essays (If Edgar permits anyway)!
So excited to read this book by Elena Ferrantes newest nonfiction book 📚 on writing & reading a collection of essays I can‘t wait to read.
Elena Ferrante could write a long-form essay about making toast for breakfast, and I would want to read it. This collection requires close concentration, though. https://keepingupwiththepenguins.com/in-the-margins-elena-ferrante/
Excited to read all these books. To read essays on writing byElena Ferrante is really special.
