pickReally good, just felt like I had already read it because it was so similar to Hatchet but in a different setting. The end is wide open for a follow up- wonder if that was the intent but Mr. Paulsen died before it happened.

pickSurvival stories were some of my favorites as a kid—Island of the Blue Dolphins, My Side of the Mountain, Hatchet. Paulsen was a master of this type of tale. This novel, published posthumously earlier this year, has echoes of a Norse saga. Really enjoyable listen, narrated by JD Jackson.
