The first book was very creepy in parts, & whilst this one dispenses with the paranormal angle, it's just as chilling in a different way. The murders are described in detail from the point of view of the victims, & it's pretty grim. The pace is perfect, there's no lull in the middle, & the reader is kept on the edge of their seat. Overall it was a gripping if gruesome read, & I look forward to reading the next book in the series. 4🌟

OutsmartYourShelf My thanks to the author & publishers, Bloodhound Books, for the opportunity to read an ARC.
