I‘ve been stuck reading neuroscience and psychology textbooks, but now I‘m on winter break!!! Naturally, I devoured a historical fiction brimming with WWII heartbreak, a bookshop and one of my favourite cities. A cozy and lovely read to start off my winter

2022 Juliette decides to extend her stay in Paris, she feels she belongs once she finds the square from her grandmother‘s painting. 1940‘s Jacque & Mathilda‘s love, life, and everything during the war. And the same bookshop in both stories.

Bought this as a present for my grandmother and now all 3 generations have read it. Loved this, although I abandoned it once or twice, but it was worth finishing. Another WW2 based book, this time in Paris and deals with refugees and the tension of the Germans taking over Paris. Excellent read.

FULL REVIEW WILL BE ON OCTOBER 27.

LOVED IT!! ❤️

What fun to bring a bookstore from WWII back to life.

What secrets does this bookshop hold and what connection if any does it have to Juliette and her family present day?

A lovely read that has some romance, mystery, history, and a chance to enjoy the city of lights both past and present.

Truly enjoyable for historical fiction fans and women's fiction fans. 5/5
