This book was entirely bonkers in all the best ways! Pirates flying houses, a secret agency secret even from the government, witches incanting in Latin…and that‘s just the beginning. The writing is relentlessly witty, with an undercurrent of sweetness and p poetic romance that touches the heart. The MCS are an absolute delight, and I rooted for them all the way. An enormously fun read that made me want to read more from India Holton.
Starting this on a cozy Saturday — a gift from a delightful friend. Hoping that I don‘t need to have read the other two previous…
For the 4th day of Christmas, I‘m choosing this one as my favorite of April. I love this trilogy, so much that I reread the first 2 later in the year. It‘s a fun book. #12booksof2023 @Andrew65
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.5/5)
I enjoyed “The Secret Service of Tea and Treason”, and I liked it more than the previous “The League of Gentlewomen Witches”. However, “The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels” still maintains itself as my favorite of the series. I loved all of the characters, humor, and shenanigans that this world presented.
This the 3rd & last of this series. I bought it as soon as I could make it to the bookstore because this trilogy makes me laugh. I think I enjoyed the first 2 a little more, but this one is still fun, full of euphemisms & metaphors about sex that are lol, & has some mystery. I love the characters & inventive premise.
My absolute favorite book of March was The Secret Service of Tea and Treason. #2023ReadingBracket
A quarter of the way into an ARC of India Holton's next book and adoring it.
Two rival agents are forced to go undercover as a married pair of pirates to investigate the whereabouts of a weapon intended to kill Queen Victoria in this third and final book in India Holton‘s Dangerous Damsels series. I found the setting limiting and the plot dragged for me, but the steam in this installment was the steamiest of the three, I loved the neurodivergence rep too, and Holton‘s physical comedy always gets me.
