Sir Percy Leads The Band
Sir Percy Leads The Band | Baroness Orczy
1 post | 1 read | 1 to read
Sir Percy leads a band of musicians and the disguise enables him to listen in to conversations as revolutionaries lay their plans. It even becomes possible to outwit Citizen Chauvelin, who arrives on the scene. Treachery from within the band forces The Pimpernel to rely on wit and judgment to bring about an astonishing conclusion.

Well October went a bit off the rails (as it does every year lol). I actually did read 24 books, but reviews were virtually nonexistent. So let's start fresh with November!!

First November read is a very fun Scarlet Pimpernel book. You should definitely read the first book in the series first, but after that they are often just collections of adventures. This one is a little strong on the love drama, but I still enjoyed it. ⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) Plus, it checked off 1936 for the #192025 challenge @Librarybelle !!

TheAromaofBooks @Clare-Dragonfly - Yes!! There are several, actually. Some of them are little short story collections, with each chapter its own rescue mission, while others, like this one, are a “regular“ novel. If you enjoyed the original, you'll probably like the rest - I haven't read all of them (currently goal) but they tend to be similar in style and content 😂 2y
