This mystery was full of twists and turns! Interesting storyline that kept me engaged.

A young British backpacker goes missing on the west cost trail.
No one is sure whether she died or simply disappeared.
Apart from Laura.
Twenty years later, a body has been found.
And there's only one person who could reveal the secret that Laura's been hiding all this time.
But she knows two can keep a secret if one of them is dead...

After being let down by her friend at the last minute, Maisie leaves the UK & flies to Canada to hike the West Coast Trail alone. Once there she meets brother & sister Seraphina (Sera) and Ric & when it seems they have lost the money to be able to pay for their travels, Maisie impulsively offers to lend them some money. They join her on the hike & it starts off as a fun-filled experience. (Continued).

Whoa. I think I‘m going to have a book hangover from this one! This story jumps back and forth between, well, then and now. And what happened then is wreaking havoc on what‘s happening now. There is so much going on, such a roller coaster ride, and it‘s done so well. You get so invested in what‘s happening now, and then the next chapter jumps back in time, like a never ending cliffhanger in the best possible way. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Starting this one for a review that‘s due next week. Looks nice and creepy!
