Pickpick

This tells the true story of Canadian born Emma Edmonds who disguised as a man, enlists in the Union army, then winds up doubly disguised, sometimes as a WOMAN, while spying behind Rebel lines. I wasn't in love with the writing but it's a really interesting story, a fast-paced quick middle grade read that shines a light on the little told story of the 400+ women who fought on both sides as men. Thanks @LeahBergen for the tip.

KVanRead And still looking for more #civilwarYA recommendations if anyone has any😊 8y
