Pickpick

Dick King-Smith, most famous for his book Babe the Gallant Pig, was an absurdly prolific writer. I've collected a lot of his books over the years, but somehow haven't read them all, despite most of them being only around 100pgs long. With such an enormous catalog of books, not all of them are winners, but this one was a soft pick for me. Henny is 75yrs old and bored of her life in the old folks' home. PuddleJumper My favourite was The Mouse Butcher as a kid. He wrote so many! 13mo
TheAromaofBooks @PuddleJumper - It's crazy to me how many he wrote!! My favorites still are The Queen's Nose and Harry's Mad. But so many of them are just such good fun. I don't think I have The Mouse Butcher, so I'll have to find that one! 13mo
BarbaraJean I LOVED Dick King-Smith when I was a kid! The Queen‘s Nose and Harry‘s Mad were my favorites, too. Also Saddlebottom! I have always resented the renaming of “The Sheep-pig” as “Babe”—because of the movie. I really hated the movie. 13mo
