This is my second book of H.D. Carlton‘s, and this woman‘s brain is messed up 😅, which makes her books great! I can see why Haunting Adeline is so huge after reading this prequel.

This was a hell of a ride from start to finish. With a twist you don‘t see coming this short read keeps you entertained and on the edge of your seat from page one. If you need me I‘ll be jumping into Haunting Adeline now 😅
F*cking hell, that was wild! ??
I decided to dip my toe in with this novella before deciding whether or not to commit to the controversial "Cat and Mouse" duet. It did not disappoint. This is by far one of the weirdest and most twisted things I have ever read. Sibby was such an interesting character, and you actually feel for her.
144 pages of extreme gore, torture, smut, and severely unhinged characters... and I am absolutely here for it ?
This novella was a good, short read. Only 144 pages long. I wasn't as into it until the second half of the book. Satan's Affair gives the readers a nice, in-depth look at one of the Cat and Mouse duet's quirkiest characters.
Book 7 of 2023
If you are going to read the Haunting Adeline series by the same author I recommend reading this book first. It will all make for a better funnier experience in my opinion. This book was not what I was excepting! It‘s a very short read (maybe 150 pages) but you get so absorb in the story. Please read the trigger warnings first because again this book is very dark “smut” romance. It‘s definitely a good intro for the author.
