Alright this was a great optimistic view of the future of our world. Want to know the only problem? We need money and cooperation. Two of the hardest things to find with human kind. This book was definitely a rollercoaster. You love the main character who in this case is the villain, but you also don‘t always think of her as the villain due to her circumstances. However if we went to the Daggers POV then you‘d see her as the villain who developed from a friend. It‘s a great story but slow at points, can‘t wait for the conclusion.

Marie Lu has an absolute knack for making readers fall in love with her characters only to break their hearts. This first installment of the trilogy goes into the life of Adelina and her pain growing up as a Malfetto. As she‘s to be executed she is rescued by the Dagger Society. Thats when things go both right and wrong. If you‘re looking for a developing hero look elsewhere because this series is budding for a potential major villain arc.

This was a twisting thriller of a book that had me hooked from the first page. Now I‘ll be blunt, the main character is a bit quirky so it can be hard to follow her train of thought. Out of the Graceling series this was the one that I felt was so out of place. I did have the opportunity to read Bitterblue before Fire and honestly I‘m glad I did. It‘s so interesting to read how Ansel came up with his recipes and how he looks at the world through the eyes of a baker. It‘s intense to see some of the advanced recipes take 3 pages of prep, baking, and assembly over many days. However you cannot rush perfection. It gives you time to learn and grow as a baker and get the difficult techniques down. I cannot wait to start baking!

I love Stephen King, but this one was a bit rough for me. He had me hooked in the beginning and the middle… then it dwindled to this mediocre long winded time of boredom. Which I understand it was setting up for the big finale. But it was drawn out more than it probably should have been. Still a great book I‘m happy to have on my shelf!
