pickThis was a solid mixed media ghost story. I‘m glad I listened to it on audiobook, I definitely would recommend. I don‘t know if I would stuck with it in print. There were a few times I wanted to shake the characters, but good spooky vibes were established. 3.5⭐️
pickAn epistolary horror that's difficult to talk about without spoilers. Essentially a found footage movie but on the page, and it takes full advantage of its textual form.
It manages to deliver some good tension, and is a fun read.
Occasionally overwritten, and the relationship between husband and wife, Matt and Clare is grating, and makes we wonder if DiLouis has ever been in a relationship, but the ultimately it doesn't effect the overall story.
