pick#24 in the Rewind or Die series. Out in the backwaters of the South there is a prophet named Darius of the Zabian religion. The one saying we are all aliens who need to return to our home water planet. And you can ascend there if you have suffered enough and of course, given all your money. This was mean and sinister and lacked all the fun the others in the series have. I still liked it. It‘s well written and punishing. Pick!
