I feel bad for not liking this one. The idea behind it was cute, but I felt like there wasn't enough development. It seemed like a lot of it happened too quickly, and there wasn't much to the characters. I'm just disappointed with the whole thing.

Low pick for me, but might be a high pick for you. Try if you like YA romance and can tolerate the immaturity. Good things: mostly POC characters; several LGBTQ characters; strong sense of family; artists (multimedia); female main character into planning.
I really really enjoyed reading this; it has all the feels. I scoffed, I laughed, I cried. Extra bonus points because I know the area (born and raised Angeleno!) and enjoyed seeing it through a fellow American born Taiwanese‘ transplant‘s eyes.
