A good fictionalization of the real murder of a progressive novelist and journalist and Wharton‘s interest.

I‘m giving this one a very generous rating of 3 ⭐️s. It just didn‘t do it for me. The mystery wasn‘t all that much of a mystery. I had to reread the last few chapters to ensure I did t miss a twist in the plot that I thought would be there. None of the characters were particularly likable. On the plus side, the story kept me reading at a quick pace, as I really wanted to know who dun-nit. I can‘t say I‘d recommend this book.
Here‘s my review for a book I just DNF‘d. This is my first book by this author. I‘ll try reading her other books and see if they‘re for me. I will not be providing feedback for this book on Netgalley.
Release Date: 1/23/24

Here‘s my reading progress for this book I‘m reading on Netgalley. I‘ve read 147 pages of this book and I‘ve decided that I‘m going to bail on this book. I‘m not feeling it.
I started this book. This is another book I‘m reviewing for Netgalley. I don‘t know what to think about this book but it‘s set during the Gilded Age in New York in 1911. The way the characters talk in this book is very proper and the way the book is written makes me feel like I‘m reading a really old book. The way the book is written is also very proper. The writing is very reflective of the time period.
I got this email today from Minotaur Books. I was approved for another book I requested. The release date for this book is January 22, 2024. This isn‘t the only book I‘m going to be reading from Netgalley in January. The new Stacy Willingham book has a release date of January 15, 2024. I requested a lot of books and now, it seems like they‘re all coming in at the same time. I hope I‘ll be able to review them all on time.
