The Binder of Lost Stories | Cristina Caboni

I just finished this #netgalleyARC and I fell in love. This is the story of a mystery discovered in a book. It is also a journey to finding oneself again. I read this in one day staying up late to finish it. This is a story about the love of books and those who bind them. It is a story across centuries. It takes you across Europe and leaves you with a story that you can't let go. I can't wait to read more from this author.

A grown up Hansel and Gretel, with a dash of Red Riding Hood mixed in. I enjoyed the more adult theme of the book, the Shrike is much scarier with a tree of death than with a house of candy! I also appreciate how evil she is for no real rhyme or reason, just because she can and wants to.

Traveling home today. I haven‘t done any reading during this family vacation so I‘m more than happy to have the next 8 hours with this book. Another #netgalleyarc that I also have a print copy of - this one was a Goodreads giveaway win. ✈️📚 #reviewathon

Five strangers, trapped in the small town of Summerville, due to a freak storm, become targets of a deranged killer intent on revenge. Great premise but disappointing execution. The choppy writing, stilted dialogue and overuse of every possible plot and backstory cliché caused a few eye-rolls on my part. The only redeeming part was the unexpected ending. ⭐️⭐️ My oldest #netgalleyarc ? #reviewathon

The premise of this story is what originally caught my attention and on its own could have been quite compelling. However, the style of writing but in particular the stilted, awkward and unrealistic dialogue made me want to just bang my head against the wall and ultimately made me lose interest in the story and its outcome. If you‘ve never read a psychological thriller, let this not be your first one. ⭐️⭐️ #netgalleyarc

I‘d rather be at home reading but when your oldest son and husband are the coach and assistant respectively, AND your youngest son plays on the soccer team as a mom you have to come out and cheer. ☀️📚⚽️ Not sure I like this one; the dialogue between characters is just getting under my skin and not in a good way. Only about 20% in though, hopefully it gets better? #netgalleyarc #soccermom #summereading

I loved this book! It‘s pretty unique in the world of YA Dystopia.

When Tate Sullivan goes for her required testing, all she wants is to fail and get on with her life, like all her family members before her. But somehow both she and her cousin Zoe are chosen and they‘re whisked off to begin new lives. Everything is not as it seems and it turns out those new lives won‘t be theirs for long.
