I started this book last night. This is the #whimsicalreadsbookclub June book. I‘m an hour into the audiobook. I‘m not feeling pulled into the story at all yet so I‘m not sure if I‘m going to like it but maybe it‘ll get better. If it doesn‘t get better then I‘ll DNF it.

Here‘s my review for this book from the #naturalitsy buddy read list. This was the March book. I‘m still trying to catch up with the buddy read. In the UK, the book title is Extraordinary Insects but in the US, the book title is Buzz, Sting, Bite.

I just found out about this. I‘ve lost a lot of pets in my life. The dogs I lost were: Apache, Laveaux, Rascal, Zena, Toby and most recently, I lost my dog Toppy on October 25, 2024. I lost a cat. His name was Tigger. I also had a guinea pig named Harley but he died too.

I found another romance reader group to sign up for. Another author I wanted to read a book for originally put their ARC on Chasing Books PR and I signed up for it there and then they decided to put their ARC on The Smuthood PR instead so I decided to sign up for ARCs from them too. I‘m not sure what ARCs I‘ll be accepted for because I signed up for a lot of the ARCs they were offering but I‘ll be happy with whatever I get to read.

I just googled what was going on with George R.R. Martin out of curiosity and this article from NBC News came up. I read all 5 books and I was pissed off when it ended on a cliffhanger but I got over it. I don‘t care if he finishes or not. I‘ve moved on. I‘m now reading Robin Hobb.

1. 1984 - I read this book in high school. I didn‘t really like it.
2. The Catcher In The Rye - This book was okay but I didn‘t really care for it.
3. Lord Of The Flies - I didn‘t like this book when I read it.
4. The Lord Of The Rings - I really enjoyed reading the books and watching the movies. I read the books first and then watched the movies. I liked The Hobbit too. The best part is that it‘s a finished book series.

I just saw that the #30booksin3months reading challenge is back for the summer again because I‘m following the lady who started the challenge but I never saw her post anything about it on Instagram until I went to her profile and saved the graphic. So far, I‘ve read 3 books for this. I know it says it ends September 1 but I‘m going to read past September 1 like I usually do because I don‘t read that fast. Some books take more time to read.

I‘m participating in the #naturalitsy buddy read. The next book on the buddy read list for me to read is called Extraordinary Insects but it‘s only available as a physical and Kindle book in the US. It‘s available in the US as an audiobook on Audible and Spotify but it‘s called Buzz, Sting, Bite. This may not help anyone who‘s already read the book for the buddy read but it‘ll help me. I didn‘t know the book title was different.

Here‘s my review for a book series I finished reading for #serieslove2025. This book series mentions painting the town red so for this series, I‘m choosing the song “Paint The Town Red” by Doja Cat. This is the perfect song for this series because they‘re in Las Vegas.

Here‘s my progress on this ARC I‘m reading. I‘m not enjoying this book at all. I hate to DNF it when it‘s being released on June 5. I like the guy. He‘s so sweet but I don‘t like the girl. She‘s making me mad. I got this ARC from Chasing Books PR and they said,”Not every book will be a fit, and that's okay! If your review is under 4 stars, and you're unsure about when to post your review, please consider holding off until one week after release.”

Here‘s my #readyourkindle picks. I have a Kindle Unlimited prompt. I could pick whatever I want to read for this but I‘m not picking anything right now because I don‘t know if I‘ll have time to read anything from Kindle Unlimited this month. I have 2 #noplacelikeholmes prompts and a book club prompt for the Wednesday Addams book club on Fable.

Here‘s my #roll100 picks for June. For June, I changed the books I originally chose for these numbers and decided to put in book club books instead to make it easier for me. I‘ve read some of my #roll100 books but I haven‘t read all of the #roll100 books I picked before because I‘ve had a lot of priority reads lately and I‘m more likely to read priority reads. I‘m looking forward to reading these books though.

Here‘s my June #bookspinbingo board. For the free spaces, I added different summer time images. I like the last free space images because it has a one piece swimsuit with watermelons on it and then next to it, I added swim trunks with rubber ducks on them. I like this background I found on Pinterest to use on my bingo board. It‘s a whimsical, magical underwater world with mermaids. A fantasy book could be set in this type of world.

Here‘s my #bookspinbingo picks. My #doublespin is for a Fable book club and my #bookspin is the next book in the #realmofelderlings buddy read. #bookspinbingo was mean to me this month. The audiobook for 11/22/63 is 30 hours and the audiobook for Royal Assassin is 29 hours. I started Royal Assassin yesterday but I‘m not going to finish it this month. I‘ll need more than 1 month to finish it. I don‘t think I‘ll have time to read 11/22/63.

Here‘s my #bookspinbingo list for June. I probably won‘t have time to participate in all of the book clubs I want to participate in but I‘ll probably have time to participate in #litsyscifibookclub, #whimsicalreadsbookclub and the Wednesday Addams book club on Fable. I‘ve already started reading the ARC I need to read this month. It‘s good but I‘m not having fun reading it. I‘ve only read 51 pages. Maybe it‘ll get better. I don‘t know.

Here‘s my #readyourkindle list for June. I‘ve decided to add priority reads on my list so I‘m more likely to complete my list. I still have the option to read Kindle Unlimited books if I have time. I‘ll just have to see how this month goes. I‘ve already started reading my ARC and I think it‘s good but I‘ve read 51 pages of it and I‘m not having fun reading it. I hope I‘ll start to like it more as I keep reading it.

I joined 18 book clubs on Fable. My plan is to choose which ones to participate in each month or just choose 1 to participate in on Fable every month. If a club is reading a book I want to read then I‘ll participate in that club that month. The clubs on Fable are casual. I can participate whenever I want to. I don‘t have to participate every month and I like having the option to participate in different clubs on Fable.

Here‘s the book clubs I‘m hoping to participate in this month as well as the June picks. I‘ll be able to read the books for #whimsicalreadsbookclub and #litsyscifibookclub and I‘ll be able to participate in the Wednesday Addams book club on Fable since the audiobook for Come Closer is only 3 hours. I‘m not sure I‘ll have time to participate in the other Fable book clubs even though they‘re all reading books I want to read.

Audible is having a sale right now on their website so if you have any books on your TBR that you want to listen to on Audible then take advantage of this sale. I just bought some audiobooks on there. I have a lot of audiobooks on my Audible library so I don‘t need more but I like buying books when they‘re on sale.

I started this ARC before the end of May. It comes out June 5 but I don‘t know if I‘ll be finished with it before then. I‘ve been having a hard time focusing on this book. This book is good but the female character in this book has mental health issues and every time I read her chapters, I feel like I need a break because it‘s a lot to deal with but the male character in here is really nice.

I just finished reading this week‘s short story for #noplacelikeholmes.

Here‘s my review for this book I just finished for the #christiescapers buddy read. I‘m looking forward to reading the next story. I have the audiobook for the next story in my Audible library but I‘m disappointed that Richard Armitage won‘t be narrating the next one. I like listening to him read the stories. He hasn‘t read all of the stories but he‘s read most of them so far.

I‘m reading this short story collection for the #christiescapers buddy read. I‘m liking the short stories. I‘m not going to get finished in time for Sunday‘s discussion of this book but I will finish this book before the end of the month.

I just finished this week‘s short story for #noplacelikeholmes. I‘m ready for Saturday‘s discussion.

Here‘s my review for the #realmofelderlings buddy read. I‘ll probably start the next book next month. Next month will be better. That will give me time to read some other books. I‘m definitely going to read other books while reading this series like I did when I first started reading this in February so if I don‘t feel like being depressed then at least I‘ll have some other books to read.

I got this email today from Chasing Books PR with a link to this ARC I signed up for. It‘s called Broken Play by Riley Paige but it‘s not on Litsy so I‘m going to be adding my review under the book Broken Play by Alison Rhymes instead when I read this book. It comes out June 5. It‘s a football romance set in college. I‘m looking forward to reading it but I forgot that it was being released June 5. That‘s coming up soon.

I just found out about this from Netgalley when I was on Facebook today. I have a Kindle. I don‘t have a Kobo but if you have a Kobo, you can now send Netgalley books to it.

I just found another book club on Facebook because it was advertised on Facebook so I signed up and I joined the Facebook group. I don‘t know if I‘ll be able to participate every month because I‘m having a hard time catching up with buddy reads that I‘m a part of but it sounds fun. I read 1 book set in Key West that was a romance but I DNF‘d it because I didn‘t see any chemistry between the man and the woman. It also felt cringy.
