The Solomon Curse
The Solomon Curse | Clive Cussler, Russell Blake
5 posts | 8 read | 2 to read
The outstanding new Fargo adventure from the #1 New York Times–bestselling author.  There are many rumors about the bay off Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands. Some say it was the site of the lost empire of the Solomon king and that great treasure lies beneath the waters. Others say terrible things happened here, atrocities and disappearances at the hands of cannibal giants, and those who venture there do not return. It is cursed.Which is exactly what attracts the attention of husband-and-wife treasure-hunting team Sam and Remi Fargo. How could they resist? Clues and whispers lead them on a hunt from the Solomons to Australia to Japan, and what they find at the end of the trail is both wonderful and monstrous—and like nothing they have ever seen before.

This was a little different than the other Fargo adventures I have read, and that's not a bad thing. Most of them are a non-stop National Treasure style story, and I have really enjoyed them. The Solomon Curse had more plot and substance. The pacing was a little slower, but it worked. The ending was very satisfying. Sam and Remi always have great chemistry. I really enjoyed this fun read. Clive Cussler is still a master of modern adventure.

Bookzombie I‘m going to have to check out this series. I love adventure stuff like this. 🙂 7y

An adventure novel, a hot cup of coffee, cozy time with the family while watching 10th Kingdom. What more could I ask for on a snowy day? It's a good day for a #litsypartyofone . @Ambrosnazzy

mariaku21 I love #deathwishcoffee as does my phone since it autospelled it like that! 7y

1. My shelves of parts and service manuals at work. Sadly I look at these more than "real" books.
2. That is a tough choice. I love history, but I also love SciFi. Maybe some alt history?
3. Yes, yes, and yes!
4. Greenish
5. The Solomon Curse by Clive Cussler and The Name Of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.

Blech. I had forgotten just how racist and sexist Clive Cussler is, even when he's writing with other people. Anybody got any tips on learning how to dump books? #overdrive
