pickThis beautifully #illustrated book is a simple, though rather creepy story about toys beloved, abandoned and fighting an evil African spirit, who steals children's souls. I like its ambiguity - even the most evil being can explain his perverted reasoning. Toy characters are really catching. It isn't frightful, but some scenes definitely gave me goosebumps
