What Has Become of You
What Has Become of You | Jan Elizabeth Watson
2 posts | 3 read | 1 to read
What Has Become of You asks: What if a teacher’s most promising pupil is also her most dangerous? Aspiring writer Vera Lundy hasn’t entirely overcome her own adolescence when she agrees to teach at a tiny private school. A recent murder has already put their small New England town on edge when Vera bonds with a student who’s eerily reminiscent of her younger self. Amid a growing sense of menace, Vera finds herself in the vortex of danger—and suspicion.

Pickpick

Not a run-of-the-mill thriller, this novel concerns a high school English teacher, Vera Lundy, who is fascinated by serial killers and a talented but quirky student in one of her classes, Jensen Willard. When another student turns up dead, and Jensen goes missing, Vera‘s life is turned upside down. Readable, suspenseful, and surprising.

Vera! Vera! What has become of you? I want to read this book just bc the title and the main characters name is Vera. But I've read some not so stellar reviews and don't know if I should read it just bc the title has lyrics from a Pink Floyd song I like. Does anybody else in here feel the way I do?
