Too hot to do anything else so we sat in the AC and took turns reading. I think this is the first chapter book we read start to finish!

I used the quote “the tree house was in a palm tree” this showed me that this was for sure modern fantasy and changed the setting

This would be good for imagination of 1st or second graders and let them know about the world and expand how they‘re thinking

This SF book, a part of the Magic Treehouse collection, Mary Pope Osborne‘s Pirates Past Noon book is a great story! Jack and Annie get captured by domed pirates one day. These pirates want to show them where the gold is at, but they are unable to read! Do they help the pirates or say no way? Read to find out! After reading this my daughter wants to play pirates all the time! It can be a bit intense and suspenseful for little ones, but they loved the adventure!

As a planner by nature, Annie‘s character really irks me. My daughter is more of a free spirit and likes Anne, lucky her. Book 29 of 2019

I don't really have any books about pirates in my collection, so I thought about my classroom library and how this one seems to be a hit amongst my third graders. #pirates #sizzlinsummerbooks
