I would defiantly use this book with second graders and up because there‘s no pictures and it‘s a story you really have to follow. This would be a perfect resource to use while learning about the Cultural Revolution

Since this is a comic and there‘s not many pictures, I choose this page because it‘s something to be aware of, the pictures of the guns with younger children

I liked this whole page a lot because it‘s explaining her town of bogota, and later in the book there‘s more pages like this but explaining things like why her best friend is awesome. I like that it‘s normalizing different cultures
I would use this book when learning about different cultures or if the children learn spanish. it does a great job of using spanish during english sentences but with words that sound similar to english
