Ageing Disgracefully
Ageing Disgracefully: Short Stories About Atrocious Old People | Colin Cotterill
2 posts | 4 to read
This delightful collection of short stories takes a humorous look at the lives of people who have passed the age of sixty and are still behaving very, very naughtily. The collection takes us from England to Asia with stops in Australia and the United States and it proves the point that disgusting old people are to be found just about everywhere. We enter the troubled minds of murderers, bank robbers, practical jokers, serial killers, perverts and just regular old liars all of whom are old enough to know better. You'll doubtless recognize people you know and be forced to admit to a few wiles of your own.

sheshedbooks 😄 yeah, can relate to time issues How's the telegram bookclub experience? 5y
BookishMe @greenreads lukewarm? 😉 😉 Small group of 5 at the moment. We take turns to pick a theme for the week. It's short stories this week and we share our thoughts on the genre and share any favourites and the likes. Actually I am glad it's not too active 😊😊 5y
sheshedbooks @BookishMe Oh that seems good enough as a start and that there's no pressure 😄 Is this your first bookclub? 5y
BookishMe @greenreads not quite a book club, but mostly bookchat. I know the group from Twitter where there used to be weekly bookchats, also thematic. I have never been part of a RL book club - keeping to a schedule just not my thing ;o 5y

I like to keep a light read on the side when I'm reading heavy books - usually short stories. My current pick to complement Marlon James is this laugh riot by Colin Cotterill. How can you resist a book about disreputable old people??😂😂😂
