So, so good! I‘ve always had a special place in my heart for Haymitch, and I really enjoyed reading his story. I hope there‘s more Hunger Games novels to come.
Can‘t believe it was already available. 😱 Snagged on Hoopla! Feel like I won the lotto! 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
Another brutal visit to Panem. These books always have me blowing through them. This one explains why Haymitch is the way he is when we first meet him. I pictured a young Woody Harrelson (from Cheers) until I couldn‘t anymore as I got further in the story, and in my mind, he aged instantly.
Haymitch's story is one I have been desperate for since I first read The Hunger Games years ago.I loved finally seeing the Games from his point of view, and his breadth of emotions did not disappoint. The Haymitch we know from the original trilogy was formed during his time in the arena, and we finally understand why. This book ripped my heart, and the amount of easter eggs in the book makes me want to go back and reread the entire series.
How did I not know about this??? How exciting!!
Haymitch's origin story!
So excited!
