Imminent: Inside the Pentagon's Hunt for UFOs | Luis Elizondo
4 posts | 5 read | 11 to read
*THE BOOK EVERYBODY IS TALKING ABOUT* 'I can say without fear of contradiction that Lue has played a central and indispensable role in forever changing the way humanity views the issue of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP)' Chris Mellon, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Former Minority Staff Director of the Senate Intelligence Committee ______________________________ The former head of the Pentagon program responsible for the investigation of UFOs - now known as Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) - reveals long-hidden truths with profound implications for not only national security but our understanding of the universe. Luis 'Lue' Elizondo is a former senior intelligence official and special agent who was recruited into a strange and highly sensitive US Government program to investigate UAP incursions into sensitive military installations and air space. To accomplish his mission, Elizondo had to rely on decades of experience gained working some of America's most sensitive and classified programs. Even then, he was not prepared for what he would learn, and the truth about the government's long shadowy involvement in UAP investigations, and the lengths officials would take to keep them a secret. The stakes could not be higher. Imminent is a first-hand, revelatory account inside the Pentagon's most closely guarded secret and a call to action to confront humanity's greatest existential questions.

The universe is unfathomably huge. Are we alone? A few books I‘ve read make me think about the idea of life out there in a scientific and sensible way. This one adds to the intrigue, focusing on UAPs—the US government‘s term for UFOs. The author quit his Pentagon job (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program) to share information with the public. Not ready to say I believe in aliens, but tell me more.

Chelsea.Poole This one really changed my way of thinking, though most astrophysicists disagree with Loeb, it‘s still an interesting read. 4w

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon (UAP) sounds more mentally stable than UFO. Former Pentagon director of the now defunct Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, Luis Elizondo claims there is government proof of extraterrestrial life. This is all very clandestine and conspiratorial, yet some of it leaves you thinking way more about this than you maybe want to.

I never thought I‘d recommend a book about UFO/UAP on here, but Elizondo lays out the evidence clearly and constructively. Y‘all, I‘m shook. A must-read.

AmyG Oh wow. 2mo
BarbaraBB Oh wow indeed. Tell me more 🤓 2mo
Megabooks @BarbaraBB V interesting. It made me wonder if this is the non-classified stuff, what is the classified stuff? He even described the possible technological innovations behind the UFOs from papers he the Pentagon had commissioned from scientists. Apparently there are “legacy programs“ where private corporations have material (both biological and non) from UFOs that are trying to reverse engineer it and don't have to share the info with government! 2mo
Megabooks @BarbaraBB He thinks the world (as in the whole world) deserves to know as much as they can share without compromising national security. Apparently, there are regular incursions in US air space as well as some ICBMs being turned on and off in the past. 😬 😱 Has there been in press/speculation in the Dutch media about this? 2mo
BarbaraBB Intriguing! There is a UFO reporting point in the Netherlands where people upload photos of strange lights and stuff in the sky. There are no official sources or agencies as far as I know. 2mo
