quietlycuriouskate Ugh, don't get me started! ? I refuse to accept "disorder", on the grounds that I am the most minutely-ordered person I know (granted, I don't know a vast number of people). 1mo

Bookwomble @quietlycuriouskate I understand that the classifications are a relic of when they were formulated, but @willaful Grrr! and @The_Book_Ninja Damn! do they need reformulating! More generally, the terms high and low support needs are less stigmatising. 1mo

Imagine my delighted neurodivergent surprise to find that I'm officially being oppressed by Nigel Farage! The far-right, mini-Trumpian wank-cannon has now decided that as well as having "too many" immigrants, trans people and breast-feeding mothers, we also have too many autistic people and children with special educational needs and disabilities. As a white, cishet man, I've waited a long time for this kind of recognition! ?

#BookHaul 2 was from a cute LGBTQIA+ bookstall in Durham Indoor Market, BookWyrm. It had a good selection of titles for its small size, and a friendly and welcoming owner.
The badge pictured on the tagged book was made locally and says "I have a touch of the 'tism", which I'll wear judiciously ♾️✊?
Mrs. B bought Juno Dawson's "Her Majesty's Royal Coven", which I'll read after her.

Bookwomble The market had a great mix of traditional traders and more diverse stalls, not too gentrified nor too basic. Worth a visit 😊 11mo
