4-9-25: My 24th finished book of 2025! When Ramona and Grace were young girls they only had one dream, to be on the hit show In The Dollhouse. As young adults they finally get their chance to make the dreams come true. Being picked to study all of the arts at the Dollhouse Academy, where the famous TV show gets all its stars from, is everything they ever wanted. •You could say that this has a standout concept with all it brings to the table, and yet...its predictability and lack of dread-building failed to hook me in. Ultimately, I found it uninspiring.
•The narration performed by Brittany Pressley and Xe Sands was perfection and kept me listening despite my waning interest in the book.

While I was in the library this one was just sitting there in the new releases.. this sounds interesting!! Will get to it after my “quick read” Lipman book!

Set mainly in the late 1990s, the pop culture background adds to the fun & thrills with a fantastic audio performance! The book opens with Ramona & her 5th-grade bestie, Grace, getting the acting break they have long dreamed of… acceptance into the elite & exclusive titular academy that uses the old Hollywood studio system as a model to keep everything in-house as it launches the best entertainment but harbors dark truths about the price of fame.
